The skin ridge patterns on the fingers and palms reveal the genetic inheritance. These patterns are found all over the palm and fingers. Under microscopic analysis they appear as furrows, looking very similar to sand dunes. Of particular interest are the tri-radii (small triangles). These are the power points from which the 3 skin ridges radiate in different directions.

It should be noted that the patterns revealed by the fingerprints and palmar dermatoglyphics show the underlying psychological structure - a structure that does not change with age. This structure should always be combined with hand shape and major hand features to give a clear picture of the underlying background context into which all other features should be read. On the finger tips these tri-radii determine the shape of the fingerprints. These fingerprint formations reveal the way thoughts and feelings are processed by the mind, as well as the way observations from the outside world are assimilated.

Below each of the fingers there is normally a tri-radius. These are the power points indicating the focus of energy for each of the finger zones (often mistakenly called mounts). From these tri-radii are energy lines called radials. These radials demarcate the underlying energy fields of the palm.

The whorl fingerprint must have 2 tri-radii to be a whorl - if there is only 1 then it is in all probability a loop. These tri-radii are found at the base of the whorl. The double loop (sometimes called the composite) must also have 2 tri-radii. Both the ulna and radial loops have only one tri-radius. The arch and tented arch fingerprints have no tri-radii.

On the palm itself these points reveal the concentration of energy fields. These power points have a direct connection with the actual content and supply of available energy as revealed by the mounts and lines of the palm.

The placement of the tri-radii on the upper palm beneath the fingers, in relation to the fingers, indicates how that energy is expressed. These are described on the attached chart.

At the base of the hand, normally towards the Mount of the Moon, is found the major power point usually referred to as the “T-tri-radius”.

However when this tri-radius is displaced further towards the Mount of the Moon (Diag A, click image to enlarge), it shows the more conscious side of the personality is heavily emphasised, showing very outgoing social attitudes.

When this power point hugs the outer side of the palm near the thumb (Diag B, click image to enlarge), social outgoing attitudes are reduced, accompanied by a strong desire for a sense of roots and a sense of belonging. Outgoing social attitudes are reduced, resulting in more self directed and introspective activities.

In this case the lunar energies are allowed greater scope, adding anxiety and introversion on a hand with many negative markings, and mysticism and intuition on a strong hand.

A very high T-triradius (Diag C, click image to enlarge) is found in a higher proportion of people with congenital heart problems, and is also associated with mongolism and other genetic disorders.
