K MaldenKarl Malden (Mladen Sekulovich) died on July 1, 2009. He was an Academy Award-winning actor and excelled in tough, working-class roles and was memorable as the suitor in “A Streetcar Named Desire” and also as a brave priest in “On the Waterfront”.
Karl was an Aries , a zodiac sign known for its courage and straight-talking. His Moon sign was in Taurus, and zodiac sign known for its earthiness and dogged determination. Mercury, the planet which represents communication and thinking style, was in outspoken Aries, and Venus the planet of love, was in Pisces. In Pisces Venus is said to be exalted and those who are lucky enough to have natal Venus in this position are said to be ‘lucky in love’, as long as there are no contra-indications from the other planets.
Karl Malden passed away as Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth, was in an exact and very challenging aspect to his natal Sun. Pluto’s influence is always intense and when in aspect to one’s Sun indicates life-changing situations. Certainly his life changed in a permanent manner, perhaps to be reborn into a different world. Pluto’s orbit is 248 years and will only make a significant contact with one’s natal Sun once or twice in a life time.

For many people the effects of Pluto’s transit to the Sun are not death in its literal sense but death of a lifestyle, transformation, and rebirth into a different lifestyle. Common examples are becoming pregnant, marriage, divorce, relocation, career elevation or demotion, relationship beginnings and endings. Generally Pluto demands that something be sacrificed in order that life can be transformed.
So we say goodbye to a memorable and very entertaining man. The world is a sadder place for his passing.
